With Kinnect MCP, your AI assistant (Claude today) sees only what you can see in Kinnect, and nothing changes until you say yes.
Claude sees what you see
Claude works as you, with your Kinnect access and no more. Items, documents and reports you cannot open in the app stay out of reach in Claude too. Hidden fields, such as account numbers you have to reveal in the app, are not sent.
Whose records
Answers come from your own records unless you name another account. If you are a guardian of other accounts, ask which accounts you can see, then name the one you mean.
“Which Kinnect accounts can I see?”
“Show the Net Worth for the Smith Family account.”
Claude does not follow the account you have open in the Kinnect app. Switching accounts in the app does not switch them in Claude.
Every change is a preview first
You ask for a change
For example, “Update the lake house value to $1.2M as of today.”
Claude shows a preview
Kinnect checks the change and Claude shows exactly what will change. Nothing is saved yet.
You decide
Say yes and Claude applies it. Say no and it is cancelled. The item’s activity shows the change as made through Claude.
Deleting an item or a vault moves it to Trash, where you can restore it, in the app or by asking Claude.
Kinnect AI inside Claude
When no direct tool fits your question, Claude can ask Kinnect AI for you. Those questions count toward your plan’s AI usage, the same as asking Kinnect AI in the app.
Privacy
When you ask Claude about Kinnect, the records it reads to answer you are sent to Claude in that chat. Claude is provided by Anthropic under your Claude plan’s terms. Kinnect sends nothing to Claude unless you ask in a chat with Kinnect connected.
Read the Kinnect privacy policy. To stop it at any time, disconnect Kinnect in Claude.
