There are times when you may want to share a Vault with an existing Network Connection, a New User or with someone that has an account with Kinnect that is not currently a Network Connection.
How to add the Share setting to a Vault:
From your Home Screen, click on Vault in the left navigation bar
Click inside the Vault you want to Share
Click on + next to Sharing in the top right corner
Click on "Search Connections" and you are presented with 3 Options:
A - Add an existing user in your Network via Search Connections
B - Create a New User
C - The Global User Search
A - Add an existing Network connection via Search Connections - Click in the Search Connections box, then Double click on the person in your Network to whom you want to extend the Sharing setting. Use the Search box if you do not see the person presented. This will search all contacts in your Network.
Click on the connection with whom you want to share the Vault, and the screen below appears. Click in the "Accessible" box to list out the available options
You are able to enable "Share" "Now", or select a date in the future.
If selecting "On Future Date" a pop up menu will display that will prompt you to enter a Start Date
Whether you select " Now" or "On Future Date", the next 3 selections are optional:
Set an End Date - a pop up will display that will prompt you to enter an End Date
Grant Edit Access -By selecting this, edit access will be given to the person you are sharing with on the date you have selected above
Receive Notifications - By selecting this, you will be notified any time this is viewed or downloaded by the person you with whom you are sharing it.
Once your selections are saved, the next screen will show the contact is now Sharing the Vault.
By closing out of the above screen, you will notice a change to the Template screen. To indicate a connection in your Network now "Shares" your Template, you will notice an icon or picture associated with your connection has replaced the + sign next to "Sharing".
If you choose to remove or change the permission extended to your connection, or would like to extend Sharing permissions to other connections in your network, click on the icon -
You are presented the same 'Manage Sharing" screen -
Clicking on the 3 stacked dots will provide a pop up menu that will let you either edit the setting or remove the setting from the connection.
If you need to add another connection, click inside the "Search Connections" space and repeat process
To complete the process, your connection receives notification on their Home page that you have "Shared" a vault with them.
B Create a New User - Click on Create New User
Enter First Name, Last Name and Relationship - (birth date is optional) - hit Save
After Saving, you are presented with the screen below. Click in the "Accessible" box to list out the available options
You are able to apply the setting "Now", or select a date in the future.
If selecting "On Future Date" a pop up will display, prompting you to enter a Start Date
Whether you select " Now" or "On Future Date", the next 3 selections are optional:
Set an End Date - a pop up will display, prompting you to enter an End Date

Because Steve Iovino was not in my Network, and he was not found in the Kinnect Global User Search ( this example assumes search was done), a Guardian Account was created for him in my Network. Note - The new connection that was created ( Steve in this case) will receive a notification on the Home page of his newly created account. As Guardian, you retain all permission to the new account until you transfer them. To confirm the message is on the Home page, click on " Go To "new connection's" Vault"
C - Global User Search
Similar to LinkedIn, Kinnect provides the ability to search and connect to other accounts in Kinnect that you would like to include in your Network. Global User Search enables this capability.
To connect to an existing user in Kinnect you will use the Global Search function– (NOTE - the existing user of Kinnect will need to have “Search Visibility by Name '' activated in their Privacy and Security settings.
Enter the Name of the person you would like to invite and their relationship , then hit enter
After hitting 'Send Request", you are presented with the screen below. Click in the "Accessible" box to list out the available options
You are able to "Share "Now" or set for a "Future Date"
If selecting "On Future Date" a pop up will display, prompting you to enter a Start Date

By clicking out of the above screen, you will notice a change to the Template screen. To indicate your Template is now being shared, you will notice there is an icon associated with your connection has replaced the + sign next to "Sharing".
If you choose to remove or change the permissions extended to your connection, or would like to extend Sharing permissions to other connections in your network, click on the icon -
You are presented the same 'Manage Sharing" screen -

If you need to add another the Sharing permission to another connection, click inside the "Search Connections" space and repeat process
