How Relationships Work

Who are the most important people in your life? Who relies on you? Who can you rely on? A cornerstone of our mission is to help families stay connected, yet ‘family’ means different things to different people.

To communicate effectively with the important people in your life, you need to connect with them in a place where you can easily, safely, and reliably make sure they have the information they need, when they need it.

In Kinnect, relationships are taken one step further than anything you’ve seen on other platforms.

If you make a connection on Facebook, you add someone as a ‘friend’.

With LinkedIn, you add someone to your ‘professional network’.

With Kinnect, you actually define the relationship you have with someone.

There are four types of relationships:

  • Immediate Family includes your spouse, parents, children, siblings, grandparents, in-laws, & step-relatives
  • Non-immediate Family includes aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces & nephews, great-relatives, etc.
  • Other relationships which include significant others, friends, co-habitants, roommates, etc.
  • Professional relationships such as attorneys, advisors, agents, etc.

It’s our goal to account for any potential type of relationship, so if you see any way we can improve, please let us know.

By purposefully connecting with those who matter most, you will have a better experience with fewer distractions in a secure environment.
