How do I add or remove a premium encryption key?


To create a Premium Encryption Key -

From your Home screen, click on Vaults in the Nav bar

Click on Encryption Keys in the top right corner

You will be prompted to Setup Your Vault Security Key - Click Get Started.

Enter a name for your key and click Next - Note :The name for the key must cannot contain any spaces

Enter your security key in the New Key and Confirm Key text boxes based on the parameters listed, and click Next

NOTE - You will need to record and store the key you created outside of Kinnect. You will need to enter the Key each time you are retrieving a Template that has been assigned the key.

You will be prompted to Create a Hit to help you remember your key so it doesn't get lost or forgotten. Enter your Hint and click Next

On the next screen, you are asked to acknowledge: I understand that if I loose or forget this security key, Kinnect cannot recover this key or any files that you protect with this key - check the box next to the statement to acknowledge.

Icons in the Middle

  • Clicking on the first icon in the in the middle test box will show you the Key you created

  • Clicking on the second icon will copy the key to your computer's clip board. You can past it into a document and save/store accordingly

  • Clicking on the third icon will download the key in a PDF file. Save/Store accordingly.

Click Finish to complete the set up of your Encryption Key.

Once you have completed the process, you are able to review your key by clicking on 'Encryption Keys" in your Vaults screen

Click on Hint to see the reminder you created to help remember the Key.

Click on Actions to delete the key. Enter the key and click Delete.
